What does technology have to do with church? Buckhead Church and North Point Ministries (in Atlanta, Georgia) have always been a technology-forward ministry and their latest project is no exception. After   pioneering “video church,” they have grown rapidly to three campus locations in Atlanta and another 20 or more partner churches throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Now, after fully engaging in social media trends like facebook and twitter, they have also launched an online church service. It's the full church service, unedited, just as if you were sitting in the audience in Atlanta – including pre-service promo videos and worship. So now thousands can attend Buckhead Church from all over the world – and they are. For the second online service, over 7000 people attended online, representing every state in the U.S. and many others around the world. It's even interactive – online chat enables viewers to feel a sense of community and discuss the message.
