We are starting a new series here on the eyespeak blog where we will highlight some of our clients and talk to them about their relationship with eyespeak. We hope that these interviews will be a way to highlight how eyespeak works with and in an organization and hopefully give some insight into the value that eyespeak brings to each project. This month we are highlighting Scigenix. This year Scigenix engaged eyespeak on a variety of projects: creation of a trade show booth, brand consulting, print collateral, website design and development, customer relationship management system (CRM), and an inventory management system.
I called Michael Statham, President of Scigenix, on Friday to talk about his relationship with eyespeak. He was gracious enough to spend 20 minutes with me talking about his company and how eyespeak fits into his organization. We also discussed Benj's desire for a zebra Snuggie.
eyespeak – So what is Scigenix?
Michael Statham – Scigenix focuses on the automation of medical services. We work primarily in the Bio Technology, Pharmaceutical, Clinical, and Research areas of medical services. Whether its a Bio Technology firm developing a new device for a pharmaceutical company, a pharmaceutical company developing a new drug, a clinician diagnosing a disease, or a research facility discovering new breakthroughs we aim to assist them in making that process more efficient through automation.
es – How did you come up with this concept?
MS - I came up with this idea when I recognized that there was a large medical services market without access to the whole scope of products they needed in one place. I felt like this was a market I could definitely serve and serve well.
es – Tell me a little bit about how you came to work with eyespeak.
MS – I met Benj in a men's Bible study that our wives helped to create. The more I learned about Benj the more impressed I became. Most of the design and web guys I worked with didn’t really understand much outside of their area. Benj was much more in tune with how it all fits together from a business perspective. I knew that hiring eyespeak would be better than any of the other routes I had taken, simply because of the breadth of knowledge they brought to the table.
es – What types of projects did eyespeak work on for you this year?
MS – I had eyespeak do a complete overhaul of our branding and web design.
es – How has eyespeak impacted Scigenix?
MS – I feel like eyespeak is a part of Scigenix, I know Scigenix would not be where it is today without its relationship with eyespeak.
es – What are you looking forward to in 2010?
MS – We are looking forward to getting our social media platform off the ground with eyespeak and using your expertise to leverage our existing expertise to grow our influence in the market. eyespeak is a big part of our overall strategy for marketing in the social media realm in 2010. Their knowledge and individualized approach to social media is something that will really push Scigenix to the top.
es – What would you say to a business owner who is on the fence about working with eyespeak?
MS – I honestly feel like I am getting more value from eyespeak in return for the amount of money spent. eyespeak not only listens and understands our business, they have become a part of Scigenix . I don’t think I could afford not to use eyespeak.
es – Benj asked for a zebra Snuggie for Christmas. Your thoughts?
MS – He would.
MS – Are you really going to post that?
es – You can count on it.
