My mentor is full of one liners. Two Christmas’ ago we published a little book full of his best ones. Recently he has been using one as a guide to making decisions. He simply asks, “play that movie forward, how does it end?”

What a powerful question!

If your marriage stays the same, how does it end. If you sales efforts stay the same, how does it end? If you don’t deal with that relational issue at work, how does it end?

This question is great for a little kick in the pants to add effort so we can change the ending of our movie. The good news is if you are headed toward disaster and make a bold move to change the outcome… it makes for a great movie!
